Fishing the deep Back Country waters means you never know what you will catch. This is a Mayan Cichlid which we caught and released while fishing for Snook and Tarpon in one of the deep Everglades Creeks this week. When taking one of these extreme trips you are likely to catch a Swamp slam of Snook, Tarpon, Bass, and Redfish. On this day the Snook and the Cichlids were biting but we couldn’t land a Tarpon even though we jumped two of the little devils.
